Are you one of the hundreds of schools that Life Education Queensland visits each year?
The Healthy Harold Hundred is a fantastic opportunity to reinforce messaging against bullying and violence, and promote an active lifestyle for your school community. This could include teachers, parents, students and even the principal!
Open to all ages and free to register, you can create a distance challenge that works for your students. Kids don't have to cover 5ks a day each!
Instead, the distance challenge can be accomplished in teams including class, year level or house groups. This creates a great opportunity to have some fun, have constructive conversations and some friendly competition.
Schools can create your own team by following these simple steps:
1) Register through the Healthy Harold Hundred Website. The first person to register will create your school team and be marked as the team captain, so choose wisely!
2) Create your team through the rego flow. This can include uploading the school logo and editing your team bio to explain why your school is committed to stamping out bullying. Make sure you tick the box to allow anyone to join!
3) Share the link to your Team page wherever parents are most likely to see it! Parents can then select to join the team, and register themselves and their kids.
Resources to help spread the word
We all know and love Healthy Harold...chances are, your staff are no exception!
The Healthy Harold Hundred is the perfect opportunity to encourage staff to step away from their screens, get moving and start conversations around bullying and violence. It is also a great opportunity to build wellbeing, teamwork and some healthy competition - think Zoom call powerwalk sessions, workplace leaderboards and even jog to work days.
Alignment with Life Education Queensland shows that your company cares about stamping out bullying and violence for Queensland kids - while having some fun in the process!
Our team can work with you to create branded fundraising pages, office leaderboards and more to maximise your motivation to smash 100k in 20 days.
Get your colleagues together to get active and help end bullying and violence this May!
