This June, I am lacing up my joggers to take on the Healthy Harold Hundred. I’ve committed to covering at least 100km in 30 days...that's 3.3ks a day!

Bullying and violence is a growing issue for kids – in the playground and online. 1 in 4 Australian children are bullied every few weeks, and 1 in 5 kids experience cyberbullying. Schoolyard bullies are 4 times more likely to abuse their partners later in life.

Wednesday 25th May
Throughout child good years we moved around a lot. It made it difficult to make new friends. I was shy and quiet. People picked on me as the new kid at school. When I started high school I didn’t know anyone. I made friends with other lonely kids standing in the quad, it wasn’t easy. 
Our group grew and changed throughout the years. Older kids would bully us on the bus, at lunch time or walking past a classroom. 
Why? Because they could! 
Even through adult years I’ve experienced elements of bullying. It’s degrading and it hurts. 
I’ll be walking this June to help younger children and try stop the chain that is bullying- it’s a huge battle that may never be broken but I would like my children to grow up in a supportive environment and to always fight for what they believe it.
