ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
What is the Healthy Harold Hundred?
Healthy Harold Hundred is an event that challenges you to move 5km a day for 20 days this May. How should you move? Any way you like! Walk, run, ride, swim… how you do your 5kms is totally up to you. Think 100kms isn’t challenging enough? There’s a 200km course with your name on it. Still not enough? See how you go with the 300km course!
Why should I take part in the Healthy Harold Hundred?
Because it’s good for you, and it’s good for others! By taking part in challenge, you’ll be increasing your physical activity to improve your own health and wellbeing - especially important after a very challenging time for us all recently. You’ll also be helping others by asking your friends and family to sponsor you with a donation towards Life Education Queensland’s respectful relationships programs to stamp out bullying and violence.
When is the Healthy Harold Hundred?
The challenge kicks off on Wednesday, 5 May 2021 and runs for 20 days until Monday, 24 May 2021. If you can’t participate on these dates, that’s okay - while we do encourage you to stick to this time so that you can share the experience others, you can really take part in the challenge at any time.
How do I register?
Registering to take the Healthy Harold Hundred challenge is simple.
Click here and follow the prompts to get started!
Can I register more than one person under the same email?
In order to complete registration, participants require a unique email address.
We understand that not all kids have an email address so parents can easily register their children and manage their fundraising pages. All emails to children automatically get sent to the parent's account.
Think about work and personal emails that you may be able to use to register participants who don’t have their own accounts.
If you are school looking to regsiter your students, or you still come up short, get in touch with our team for assistance by contacting us today.
Can kids register?
Yes! We encourage families to get involved. Children over 6 years can participate with your parents or school groups.
For health and safety reasons, children must be registered by their parents and have their fundraising pages managed by their parents too.
Children must always be moving under adult supervision.
Does it cost anything to take part?
Nope! It’s free to take part in the Healthy Harold Hundred. We do ask that you commit to fundraising for Life Education Queensland though, as it’s through these vital donations that real change can happen to stamp out bullying and violence. During your registration, you’ll be asked to set a fundraising target and consider donating to your own profile to kick things off (though this is completely optional).
Participants who do this usually go on to raise more money, so showing your friends how it’s done with a donation to your own page is a sure-fire way to make the most of your fundraising. If you’re stuck for other ideas, no problem! We’re here to help. We’ll send lots of helpful tips and tricks along the way. There are also loads of useful resources here to get you started.

Your health and safety always comes first! Click here to see the latest COVID-19 directives and updates.
Will my fitness app start tracking my activity straight away?
Fitness activity tracking will only be enabled at the start of the challenge on May 5. If you connect your app to your Healthy Harold Hundred profile prior to the event no kilometres will be logged until the challenge has officially commenced!
How do I update the distance I have covered during the challenge?
Your profile page includes your personal distance tally so you can track your distance towards your target. This is a great way to keep your friends updated on your workouts!
If you track your workouts with Fitbit, MapMyFitness or Strava your distances will automatically add to your tally.
Follow these steps to track your KMs automatically:
2. Log in to your Healthy Harold Hundred account.
3. Under the heading ‘Connect your preferred Fitness app’, click your chosen app.
4. Follow the prompts to connect your account
5. When you next work out, select ‘start your workout’ in the app on your phone. Once you end your workout, save your workout and your distance will be published to the tally on your page the following day.
If you have synced your app already but it is not working, please log in and re-connect it.
When using Fitbit, you must ‘start’ an activity and save it. Your daily steps will not automatically add to your page. If you are having issues, try syncing through BOTH your Fitbit and the Fitbit app on your smartphone.
When using MapMyFitness, you must ‘start’ your workout, ‘stop’ your workout and then ‘SAVE’ your workout.
Your tally will be updated each day with the previous day’s distances.
Remember, you can manually add your kilometres to the tally in your My Fitness Activity tab of your profile after registering. This is a great option if you’re using a pedometer or a different method of tracking your distances.
Follow these steps to manually add your KMs:
1. Log in to your account and select ‘My Fitness Activity’
2. Under ‘Add activity’, enter the date and distance
3. The number of KMs will now appear on your fundraising page!
Where do the funds go?
All funds raised will support the continued work of Life Education Queensland in delivering vital respectful relationships programs to school-aged children across the state. The experienced educators from Life Education travel to regional, rural and remote communities as well as metro centres to ensure that all children have access to the right education to stamp out bullying and violence, short and long term.
Funds raised will allow us to get to even more Queensland schools in disadvantaged areas to deliver our respectful relationships programs.
